THE PEOPLE BEHIND THE PROGRESS

Rooted in Nashville.
Open to the world.

For Jessica, development starts with showing up: listening to neighbors, supporting second chances, learning from other cities, and staying connected to the decisions shaping Nashville.

These are the experiences and relationships behind Smart Girl Developments. They bring a human perspective to the work we do with landowners, clients and communities.

CONVERSATION & CONNECTION

Rev. Enoch Fuzz
& One Nashville

Jessica’s community involvement includes working with Rev. Enoch Fuzz and One Nashville. Bringing people together across different backgrounds creates space to listen, exchange ideas and understand local issues.

Our belief is simple: relationships grow when we stay present beyond the transaction.

MENTORSHIP & CIVIC LEGACY

Ludye N. Wallace

Councilman Emeritus
Jessica’s mentor

Learning from the people who helped shape Nashville.

Jessica’s connection to Nashville’s civic life includes the mentorship of Councilman Emeritus Ludye N. Wallace. That relationship sits alongside her work with Metro processes and her commitment to understanding the history behind the decisions that shape our neighborhoods.

Jessica also prepared a documented review of Wallace’s public-service record for the founding team of the Ludye N. Wallace Foundation. The work brings together legislative research, civic learning and the preservation of Nashville’s history.

02 / A SISTER-CITY PERSPECTIVE

Nashville
Belfast.

Different cities.
Shared questions about the future.

Through Nashville’s sister-city connection with Belfast, Northern Ireland, Jessica has traveled to meet civic leaders and learn from conversations about city development. She brings that perspective home to questions of growth, community voice and opportunity in Nashville.

Jessica also helped welcome Belfast delegates to Nashville in 2025. The exchange marked 30 years of the cities’ relationship, which began in 1995.

Belfast City Council’s account of the 2025 delegation describes collaboration across education, culture, business and government. For Smart Girl Developments, the value is in listening, building relationships and bringing useful ideas back to our own city.
