BEFORE YOU OPEN THE PORTAL

Start with the right property.

Only have an address? Find the parcel first, then open its official Metro record for ownership and property context.

  1. Gather names and dates

The county lists name and date searches from July 1, 1964 onward. For records from January 1, 2000 onward, it also lists lot, subdivision and document-type searches.

  2. Open the document

Match the parties, recording date and property description. Save the document reference for follow-up; an address alone may not identify every relevant record.

  3. Connect the findings

Compare recorded documents with your survey, zoning and project plans. An attorney or title company can perform the title review needed for a property transaction.

ACCESS & ASSISTANCE
